Kajal Aggarwal to treat Paris Paris as a original Tamil film
The Tamil remake of the super-hit Bollywood film Queen was launched yesterday with the title Paris Paris. As reported earlier, curvaceous Kajal Aggarwal, who has just delivered a super-duper hit film with Ajith Kumar in Vivegam (in which she appeared donned in saree in almost all the sequences – probably the first time she has done so in her decade-long career), plays the protagonist’s role in Paris Paris.
Bollywood’s Kangna Ranaut won the national award for ‘best actress’ for her portrayal of the protagonist in Queen which released in 2013. Actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind, whose last directorial venture was the Kamal-Pooja Kumar starrer Uttama Villain, is all set to direct Kajal Aggarwal in Paris Paris whose first-look posters had Kajal Aggarwal flashing one of her many million-dollar smiles!
The butterfly in the poster featured with Kajal has plenty of montages of Paris on its wings, hinting that the film would be sot mostly in Paris. The script of the film is about a single girl’s adventures in Paris after she is left high and dry with her marriage getting cancelled at the eleventh hour.
“Though it’s a remake, I’d do my best to treat the film as original and in my own way. We’re sending a strong message across to Tamil audiences,” says the ever-bubbly Kajal and adds that she wasn’t ‘stepping’ into anyone’s shoes. “It’s a special project for me and I would treat it as a purely original film, not taking cue from where it is remade,” Kajal Aggarwal asserts.
